| This item is an old Remington Model 81, chambered in .300 Savage. The gun looks to have been re-blued, and the stock has been refinished, as well as repaired. I would have it gone through by a competent gunsmith prior to shooting, but I suspect it would be a good "shooter". These were very popular deer rifles in the heavy timber in the 30's, 40's, and 50's. Take it hunting!
